Industrial and Hazardous Waste Registration and Reporting: Am I Regulated?
Who must register and report for the Industrial and Hazardous Waste Registration and Reporting Program?
The following types of facilities/businesses must obtain a Solid Waste Registration (SWR) through the Industrial and Hazardous Waste Registration and Reporting program:
- Industrial generators of more than 100 kg of nonhazardous Class 1 waste per month.
- Small Quantity Generators (SQG) of hazardous waste. (Greater than 100 kg per month)
- Large Quantity Generators (LQG) of hazardous waste. (Greater than 1000 kg per month)
- Transporters of Industrial Class 1 waste or hazardous waste. (Registration only. This category has no reporting requirement.)
- Receivers of Industrial Class 1 waste or hazardous waste from an off-site source. (These facilities often also require a permit through the Industrial and Hazardous Waste Permitting Section.)
- Reverse Distributors of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
